Life: Where have I been?
Wedding photography by Jo Hastings
Oh hey guys! Long time, no speak. I have been a terrible blogger and am slapping myself on the wrist. There have been a few reasons why I haven’t posted since June with the main one being that I have been busy getting married – woohoo! Turns out that my brain can only focus on one creative outlet at a time so I had no energy or motivation left to write blogposts.
It’s also been pretty crazy at work and I’ve been so tired by 5.30. I’ll stop with the excuses now.
But anyway, I’m hoping to get back on the blogging bandwagon and have redesigned my blog (with the help of an Etsy template) so that it’s all shiny and new, and ready to go!
So what have I been up to over the past few months, aside from the small event of getting married? I’ve spent lots of time in Lincolnshire at my Mum and Dad’s house doing wedding prep; there have been three very fun hen dos (yes, I’m greedy); I joined the majority of the population by becoming obsessed with Love Island; I spent a few amazing days in Barcelona with my parents and sister; I discovered how much fun it is to use Instagram stories so that’s become a regular thing (my username is daisyelizabeth87 #shamelessplug); I went on a wonderful mini-moon to the Artist Residence hotel in Oxford (post on that soon) and we booked our amazing honeymoon to Mauritius which we go on in November. On a less fun note, I’ve suffered with some anxiety around the wedding, something I know a lot about (from family) but hadn’t experienced directly before.
Obviously the highlight of this summer has been our wedding day. We got married on the 10th August and as cliche as it sounds, it was the best day of my entire life and Chris and I have been in such a happy bubble ever since. After being together for over 10 years I didn’t think we’d feel that different but it’s just lovely and we feel like an unstoppable team. We’ve now got our professional photos back so I’m going to be writing lots of posts about the day, and how it all came together.
That’s it for now but keep your eyes peeled for more beauty, lifestyle and wedding posts – hooray!
